Judgement Doesn’t Help

Last updated: Jun 25, 2019

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” Mother Theresa

Women who have lied find me…

Women who have cheated find me…

Women who have engaged with married men find me…

Women who have done things they’re not proud of find me…

And even men who are imperfect themselves occasionally find me.

They find me because the words I use let them know they’re safe with me.

They won’t be judged.

Or ridiculed….

Or made to feel worse than they already do…

I lost my ability to judge others because I know what it’s like to be in these struggles and then be on the receiving end of judgement.

I also don’t judge because healing and growth cannot occur when there’s judgement.

Clarity cannot occur in the midst of judgement.

Love cannot occur where there’s judgement.

Some counselors might want you to save your marriage no matter what.

Some other coaches might want you to leave your marriage.

My sweet spot is helping you get to your answer that you can feel at peace with first…and then helping you navigate all that comes next.

And lots of people like to judge me for that (you can’t imagine the hate mail I receive at times). They would like for me to jump into the pit of judgement alongside them….

….so that they can feel more right…

…or righteous.

I intentionally don’t judge…

I don’t have an agenda for your life….

And I’m willing to take on a lot of judgement myself from others for not judging you.

I consider it a small price to pay for living in peace.
