Judgment Doesn’t Help

Men who have lied find me…

Men who have cheated find me…

Men who have engaged with married women find me…

Men who have done things they are not proud of find me…

Men who think they want to leave find me..

Men who think they want to stay find me..

They find me because the words I use let them know they are safe with me.

They won’t be judged.

Or ridiculed….

Or made to feel worse than they already do…

Or asked to justify why they did or did not do something.

I do not judge others because I know what it’s like to be in these struggles and then be on the receiving end of judgment.

I also don’t judge because healing and growth cannot occur when there’s judgment.

Clarity cannot occur in the midst of judgment.

Love cannot occur where there’s judgment.

Some counselors might want you to save your marriage no matter what.

Some other coaches might want you to leave your marriage.

I want to help you get to your answer that you can feel at peace with first…and then help you navigate what comes next.

And lots of people like to judge me for that. They would like for me to jump into the pit of judgment alongside them….

….so that they can feel more right…

…or righteous.

I intentionally don’t judge…

I don’t have an agenda for your life….

And I’m willing to take on a lot of judgment from others for not judging you and allowing you to have your own experience.

I consider it a small price to pay for living in peace.
